How Our Hunting Club works

Thank you for showing interest in Charlotte’s own Central Carolina Outdoor Club. After reviewing the following information, I am sure you will agree that we are the premier North Carolina hunting club, for whitetail deer hunting and more!

Concept: CCOC is constantly leasing hunting land throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. Our members use a state-of-the-art website to reserve access to our hunting land leases. As of August 2007, we have land in each of the 4 North Carolina White tail Deer Hunting Zones and Game Zones 2 and 4 in South Carolina. Our members can reserve the property of their choice from our inventory of hunting land leases for their personal exclusive use on their days of choice.

Management Ownership and History

CCOC is owned and managed by myself, Dan Hartman. I have had an irrepressible passion for the outdoors my entire life. I spent most of my years hunting and fishing in Pennsylvania. The only disappointment in moving to Charlotte was losing 30 years of quality whitetail deer and turkey hunting spots!

When I moved to Charlotte, I really had my eyes opened when it comes to hunting land and access to it. I bought a North Carolina hunt club membership in a deer hunting club that had 2200 acres in Anson County. After paying my membership dues, I was given access to the map board and informed I needed to stay at least 100 yards from any stand marked on the map. The problem was the map was covered with pins! I was then told that most of the members used climbing stands and the trees were not necessarily marked!

How in the world was I going to find a place to deer hunt? I began to search for hunting property to lease on my own when I found American Wildlife Association. After carefully evaluating the business model, I knew this would be a great benefit to other whitetail deer hunters and fishermen. I wanted to provide a place where hunters and fisherman could find affordable, safe and quality land where they could pursue their interest and pass their knowledge and passion down to their children.
